We love a short-sleeved sweater, not least because they make us think of old-school motorcycle mechanics and BJ Hunnicutt from M*A*S*H. Impeccable retro styling aside, it's also an extremely practical design for a summer sweater, since half the time you seem to end up pushing your sleeves up anyway. This one from Snow Peak comes with added gnarliness thanks to the blended fabric that weaves cotton and polyester with a good dose of Cordura. The result is a lightweight material that's four times stronger than pure cotton and resists pilling. It's got a nice relaxed fit with a crewneck and a single chest pocket, and will look the business whether you're tinkering with an old Triumph or spouting pithy one-liners in an army field hospital
